MY 5 PRINCIPLES FOR AMAZINGLY-AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE
Too often, companies talk about customer service in terms of cheesy clichés, like giving clients 110% effort. Or some say that if clients ask you to jump, you need to ask them “how high?” But at my company, we take a different approach to customer service. We don’t jump, we fly, even when the customer doesn’t ask. And we’re real with our clients, which makes working together a better experience for everyone.
To deliver amazingly awesome customer service, we came up with five simple principles.
Our five principles are as follows:
1. Don’t Be an Asshole
We hate assholes. Whether they’re on our team or on the client’s team, life is too short and too beautiful to deal with them on a daily basis. So when we are confronted with true assholes, we simply remove them from our equation. That way, working together can be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
2. Be Ridiculously Creative
If you can think of it, then we can create it. Even if you don’t have the exact vision of what you want, integrate us into the brainstorming process early, so we can help flesh out your ideas. We have an international team with the engineering, designing and marketing capacity to knock your socks off. It’s what we do!
3. Show and Yell, Not Tell
Show and tell is fun and effective, but we prefer to engage in “Show and Yell”... as in, show our clients what we can do for their product needs, and then watch them yell with joy and satisfaction from what we deliver.
4. Don’t F*** Up
This one is easier said than done. F***ing up is an inevitable part of life. But when a mistake is made at Ideoli, we are obsessive and passionate about taking immediate, effective and corrective action. We'll go to all lengths to correct any issues that have taken place.
5. Have the Best Milkshake
If you’re really good at what you do, your milkshake should bring all the fans to the yard. .. (and we’re like, it’s better than yours)! We believe our milkshake is damn good and gets the right people’s attention. Once we have it, we work hard to listen to our prospects' needs, create products that convert them into clients and do everything to keep them invested and engaged. From jumping on a quick flight to grab a beer with our clients to traveling to the other side of the world to help oversee an installation project, we do whatever it takes, wherever it takes us!
By following these five principles, we’re able to deliver the highest-quality service for our clients while staying true to our values.
